Summary Oh Beautiful Painted Bodies Across America (2015)

200 Days, 140 People, 30,000 miles, 50 states, 101 cities, 9 cops, one body painter, Natalie Fletcher travels in a van painting people across the country. She paints all ages, genders, races, shapes, and sizes. She surprises them all with the same question... why do you love your body? A question most people have not only not answered buy rarely even thought about. When we're asked why we hate our bodies, we can easily answer with specifics of things we have always been self conscious about. We spend so much time and energy hating the way we look, we forget to love and appreciate ourselves. Natalie connects with strangers in many different ways such as facebook, craigslist, youtube, instagram, twitter, and yes even tinder. This short documentary follows her journey both physical and emotional. The answers, the people, and the beautiful places were life changing. This is a film that has a positive message while attacking a dark subject that every person on Earth deals with. The art was just the connection to meet and weave the web of Oh Beautiful.
